Great finds! Love this place. There is a huge selection of every part of a thrift store. There are so many clothes, it is a bit overwhelming. They wife variety of home goods. The line was super long and there’s late, but worth it for the finds.

Items are getting pricier and I found a pair of shoes listed for more than the original price that was still attached. I saw other items with the marshalls tag attached but the price ripped off... makes me wonder if it's purposely listed for more.

I was very disappointed with their customer service today . I have not been to 2nd Ave in awhile, so I was really looking forward to shopping at this store. Everything thing was going well until I have to deal with the so called loyalty program at checkout, mine rewards never seem to work correctly, even though I am a member I am never sent any coupons via email in to receive discounts, so the sale that required you to spend $40 and receive $15.00 was useless to me. My friend who was with me never has a problem getting discounts, she suggested that I sign up again for their loyalty program, my response to her was that if 2nd Ave does not appreciate my business there is no need for me to shop there. I prefer to give my business to stores where all customers are treated the same, and if there is a problem the customer doesn’t leave the store feeling cheated or misled. I would think the loyalty program was created to show customers that they are appreciated, unfortunately for me it showed me the opposite. The manager told me if I come back before the sale ends she could fix the issue, so I have to make two visits to get the same discount my friend got in one visit. This manager’s thinking was to treat me unfairly today and for me to actually want come back, this does not make sense.The bottom line is shopping at 2nd Ave is hit or miss, you may or may not qualify for a sale, and that is not a chance that I am willing to take any more today was my last visit, I just emailed customer service to cancel my reward card. Don’t waste your time or money at this store especially if you are not tech savvy. I have definitely seen a decrease in their business the lines use to be extremely long ( not any more) especially on the weekends, I guess people are getting fed up with them and their underhanded ways to make a profit. Just imagine the money they saved by not emailing all members coupons and once you realize this is what they do the only thing to do is to not come back.

So they have good selection but their archaic approach to customer service has no place in 2024 slow as can be but not the worst just could be faster when exchanging items because of wrong sizes on tags.so complicated to do anything they don’t know how to do anything very overwhelming

I have been going to this store for years, though I do so far less frequently now. This store USED to run a GREAT discount program every week, based on the colors of the price tags they would put on items. They have TV screens hanging from the ceiling, on which they used to post the discounted colors of the week. They would typically have 50% off discount on one color and 33% off another, The discounts would originally take place on certain days of the week (such as Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays), and regular customers would try to shop on those days. Then they went through a phase where the discounts were good all week, vs just certain days. However, they went through a VERY long period during which the TVs didn’t seem to work, or perhaps the store chose to turn them off. In ANY case, they don’t seem to do ANY discounts anymore, other than a random, occasional day of the store’s choosing. Sometimes they may do discounts during a big holiday weekend, such as Memorial Day or Labor Day. They STILL carry an amazing variety and quantity, and many quality goods and brands (it all depends on what has been donated recently).
Unfortunately, they’ve ALSO RAISED PRICES on merchandise, to the point that SOME prices are rather RIDICULOUS. Thrift stores sometimes SEEM to FORGET that their merchandise DOESN'T COST THEM ANYTHING, since IT’S DONATED. The original purpose of thrift stores—besides funding training and social programs to help those who are struggling due to lack of income or work experience—was as a way for those who can’t afford new (or who prefer vintage) to find what they need or want in good used condition at an AFFORDABLE price, and to AVOID people throwing away perfectly good, usable stuff, and needlessly adding to landfills. I realize these stores have to also pay their employees, but STILL, so much of the stuff has become overpriced. I now often try to find what I need or want on Facebook Marketplace instead, even though it involves more driving around on my part.

I used to love this thrift store but the prices have gotten quite high, instead of having two color tags on sale there is only one and I often see employees removing items with the sale color from the floor so you can't find anything actually on sale. The store also recently seems to have a weird musty smell that wasn't there before. Items are often tagged in a way that leaves an obvious hole in the fabric, even when there is a tag that could have been used. The craziest pricing is on children's items, sometimes priced higher than new even when they are in bad condition. Pricing is pretty inconsistent depending on who does it so rarely you can find something priced fairly. I still find stuff but much less than I used to and you really have to dig. Tuesdays everything is 25% off but gets quite busy.

Normally, i am really happy with my buys but over the past two weeks I have bought two tablets and a pair of headphones that wouldn't even charge. I'm done spending money on any electronics here. It's a rip off to put broken electronics on the floor without testing.
To be honest, thier prices are getting ridiculous. Today, I looked at a decanter set that was selling for almost 50. When I looked it up, it was only 34 brand new. And to charge people 20+ dollars for dirty torn up shoes just because they are a name brand is not right. They are getting real.close to becoming the next goodwill when it comes to price gouging.

First timer . Have been walking by this shop but never visited till now . It’s actually a hugeeee shop for a thrift shop. They have everything .. - home decors , kitchen things , dress , shoes , etc etc .

Price of many items was much more than I thought . U have to look through slowly to get a good product with good price …. Lots of junk items inThe store . It’s almost like a garage sale but a bit more expensive… no trial rooms , no returns ! Slowww billing … average experience..
