If youhave patience, and time to look around, you could find some good stuff!
Price is a little salted for my taste, but we never know…

Small store but definitely found a couple of nice items. Great service. Of course no large bags nor drinks allowed.

Absolute waste of time. Took them an hour to review my pieces (I brought in several high quality items including silk blouses, premium denim with tags, etc) and they only took one pair of jeans and sweatshirt. They tried to offer me $8 for a leather Iro jacket that retails for $1400. A complete joke; I am insulted by this experience and will not return. Highly recommend finding anywhere else.

Manager extremely rude, made us wait 2 hours to authenticate our product but ended up offering a really low deal even if last week the exact same Manager from the exact same branch offered a deal two times the price of what he offered. Just think it’s very unprofessional and rude because we could’ve saved a lot of time and effort making our way to the store.
*update* they tried to offer me $150 for new Balenciaga shoes, that should say enough

I recently came to this location to sell some items and one of them was a very expensive gold watch with extra gold links in a small plastic bag. After they inspected my items, I returned 30 minutes later and a different employee let me know that they don't accept watches. He proceeded to hand the watch back without the extra gold links. After leaving the store I quickly realized what was missing and went back only to find out that they had lost my gold links and there's nothing they can do about it. I am shocked with the lack of professionalism in this exchange and now I am unable to sell the watch due to the employees lack of awareness and care.

My spouse had a lovely experience selling clothing at 2nd Street; it was at their University Place location, in Manhattan.
We often say (in our household) that it’s our daily interactions with people that have the most significant impact on our days, and hence, our lives — no matter what other worldly matters transpire. Now, for two New Yorkers who do not currently have a ton of money, of course, the worldly matter of money also has a significant impact, too; but those in person human connections are what eventually and cumulatively make up a happy and fulfilled life!
Sadly, we’ve had a few not so happy experiences at two other 2nd Street locations, where the customer service was not only rude, but we also believe that our designer goods (in pretty great condition), were not priced fairly.
Yet, this was the opposite experience that she had, at the 2nd Street University Place, NYC location!
Abba greeted her with his welcoming and gentle smile; Bobby, her buyer, treated her like a real VIP, and Justin, the ASM, treated her like an old friend. : ) They were all exemplary and exceptional customer service superstars! And they were: courteous, helpful, kind, patient, positive, professional, thorough, warm and welcoming; put simply, they were ABSOLUTELY LOVELY!
And this was all done, while they were each quite busy, on a Sunday afternoon.
The store is expansive with tons of treats and treasures - whether you want to splurge on a rare piece in mint condition, or are looking for a wildly reasonably cute find - from $5 - $4,000 - pls come enjoy the pleasant vibe, at 2nd Street University Place! Sincerely, Kat (on behalf of her honey)

I'm very grateful to the store clerk Angelo for assisting me in getting the coat from the mannequin stand for me to try on. This is the style I've been looking for, and he reminded me to use a 10% discount. I entered the store on Thursday at noon, and it wasn't crowded at all. The shopping experience was very comfortable.

The thing about 2nd street is that they are simply not consistent where sellers are concerned.
Yes, you can find rare items but if you are selling get ready for inconsistency, attitude (depending on the time of day, the person/clerk working at pickup, and lord knows what else ?...
Anyways selling aside, you do find the occasional gem at these stores, no exception here.
