Texas Thrift Store of Ingram Road is a vast thrift store featuring many different items that are slightly organized. The prices are pretty high, which people commonly complain. The service sometimes is pretty rude at times, which I do not appreciate. The bathrooms are outdated and are definitely in need of a major rework. However, you may find what you are looking for here. Overall, this is a decent thrift store but customer service could be improved a lot.

The store is over priced as it is, and I typically only shop whatever is on sale (the color tags of the week) to get a decent deal. New tags go into effect every Monday. I went into the store on a Tuesday at 11 am and ALL the workers were removing the new tags of the week and taking them into the back! This is unethical, to promote savings but take the tags that are on sale… very disappointing. For this week July 15-21 blue tags are 50% off and yellow are 30% off and as you can see by the picture the lady was removing all the yellow tags. I didn’t see a single blue tag during my 2 hour visit that day. What a shame!!

Like other reviews have stated, this place is extremely overpriced! Chances are you’ll walk out empty handed. Who would of thought you’d be better off buying retail when the prices at the thrift are more than buying new.

When you make Goodwill prices seem reasonable by comparison, given their recent price hikes, you have gone off the deep end. A thing I saw many times in this store: well used tops and tees for $9.99! A thing I have never seen at goodwill: a top priced over $5.99. Absolutely ludicrous. Will not be back.

The NEWS should cover a story on Thrift Stores!

I'm shocked to see the pricing increase soooo much. I see many items sold for more than you can get it new. With the items being donated, we all should all be surprised at how much profit Texas Thrift Stores and its owners are making.

The NEWS should cover a story like this showing both sides (owner/consumer). They might prove me wrong!!! But untill then...

If THAT'S their Labor Day Sale, they lost a customer. Brand new tags on clothes all across the store, and LOTS of undeserving THRIFT STORE jeans at $28. I imagine recently inflated prices. Of my 6 items, ZERO got 50% off, but 2 of them got $1.50 off so total of $39.99. I've been going there for a few decades, but that was my last time.

Local here. We used to love this place, it used to be better than goodwill. They are now a for-profit store, half of the store is broken items or dirty kid items/clothes. The speakers are entirely too loud, you won’t hear yourself speaking. We bring headphones but it blasts through those as well. They drastically upped their prices and cut back on furniture and glassware. The isles are so tight that everyone is fighting by and also breaking items accidentally. They’ll have 7 cashiers at the counter but only 2 checking out, and the rest will be staring at you in line and chatting. The whole place reaks of cat pee. The bathrooms with the smell you get hit by when opening the doors, will make you want to vomit. Not to mention the toilets are always filled with several types of body fluids, each stall is a surprise. They also upped their prices ridiculously, 9 dollars for a plate? Half of their items are the wrong price, you’ll be paying 3-4 bucks for one and 2.99 for another w/ no difference in type, unusable dvds. It is a sensory overload nightmare and I’m surprised they can stay open with all the health code violations. They were selling boxes of expired food!!! We left SICKLY(quite literally ill, we came in before feeling fine) and furious and had to take showers when we got home. If you get anything here, triple check prices and heavy sanitize. Maybe bring sound cancelling headphones and be mentally prepared for rudeness and shoving by. If you are looking for a relaxing enjoyable outting with others or fun thrift, just avoid at all costs. Will not be returning.

This place gets zero Stars they are very inconsiderate here. Everybody knows when you go to a thrift store you spend time sifting through all the you stuff most of it is trash and the moment that you find something good after spending an hour or hour and a half you take it to the register and they tell you that they can't sell it because it doesn't have a price tag on it. There is a very tiny sign up at the register that says No tag no sale. How am I supposed to know that I'm supposed to look at that. I'm sorry they wasted an hour and a half of my time.
