I had to have my appendix removed after being transported from Orlando Health Emergency Room in Lake Mary, FL. From the emergency room to the ambulance ride and then finally Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital, everyone was wonderful! All the staff were extremely nice, attentive and helpful. All took the time to answer and ask questions and kept me informed on my prognosis. Dr. Ortega is the BEST. He was very informative. honest and even gave me a courtesy call at home a few days after my surgery to check on me and my healing progress. In fact, if I ever have to have surgery again and it could be performed by him, he would be my doctor of choice!

Check in was quick and easy. Nurses and Dr Brooks were great! Dr Brooks' partner came in to check that all was ok. What.a great team they are! The nursing staff took great care of my husband and we are very grateful for all you have done! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hospital. It was wonderful for me to be able to take care of hurricane prep and having constant updates so I knew how everything went! Thank all of you for the excellent care!

The staff on while I was there were just wonderful. The only complaint is, I let them know ahead of time that my mother would be spending the night with me and for some reason I was put in one of the smallest rooms. I wasn't brought a cot for my mother till after 9pm. The cot barely left any room to move around in. I know all of that could've been avoided, or fixed when I came from surgery, but no offered to help. It just made things had for me and I should've been working on my recovery, not having to worry someone about a cot all day for my Mother. Thanks to the ones that took care of me, but whoever is in charge of all the room problems I had, should be dismissed!

The surgery from what I was told wwnt well.

My pre surgery prep team was excellent especially Marion my Nurse and Maria.

The only regret that I have is that no one had demonstrated to my wife how to properly adjust] my ultra arm sling which has multiple straps which would have been helpful as the instructions which were in the bag that I had were thrown away and not returned to us.

Other than that it was a great experience for me with your excellent team I appreciated being attended to by them

The staff was amazing. Everyone that I had contact with was so friendly, thoughtful and helpful. It’s always scary to have procedures done, but the staff helped me so much. Thanks Michelle for the quick IV setup and thanks Hope for getting me safely out of the hospital and to my car. Thanks to every single person that helped me through a difficult day.

The staff is exceptional!!! They are kind and patient and understanding. They got me through a very rough time and helped me change my lifestyle to a more healthy regimen and I appreciate them. My experience at South Seminole Hospital was amazing, even though I was tremendously scared and sick they were with me every step of the way they made sure I had all the testing I needed, they made sure I was comfortable they checked on me throughout the time that I was there. They asked me if I needed anything. The doctors with out of their way to make sure I had all testing and explained everything to me. Thankful for them

This was the first time I’ve ever needed a surgery that required general anesthesia. I was in a lot of pain and extremely anxious. The wonderful team that attended me was warm, welcoming and empathetic to my situation. They made sure I was comfortable even going so far as to get me a wheelchair and a warm blanket. Everyone was so caring. I was put at ease and the procedure was successful. I’d like to thank my team and let them know how much it meant to me that they treated me with such attention.
