Every experience with the Guitar Center in Rockville over the last five years has been stellar. They pay attention to customer needs, know their products, and consistently provide exceptional service. Due to JC, Brian M, and Jesse, we have invested in new equipment, services, and even a high-end set-up for my executive coaching practice.

If you're looking for any piece of expensive music equipment this is absolutely the place to go. They will price match ANY legitimate competitors pricing and they have some really good sales. I got my new guitar ($800) everywhere else for $600ish here. A lot could be said about the staff as well, those people really know their stuff I was very impressed

Great selection and staff! I have been coming to this guitar center for years, and it's never disappointed. I purchased a guitar on my most recent visit, and all the staff made me feel welcome and well attended to. Highly recommend coming here!

Awesome selection of guitars and amps. The enclosed rooms seem like a great idea but during my visit the same people played the entire time. I don't know if they were just noodling around and not buying anything but there should be a 15 minute time limit so others can try out gear.

Well, where to start. Everytime I go in there it's the sand m and same thing. Trying to find help. Usually no one is around. If u find someone and ask for an item. They direct you to over there with a point of a finger. That doesn't help because the store is kind if big and broken up. So as I make my way to over there. I get to what I believe is the right section. After waiting a bit to find someone for help. And this has happened almost all the time. But especially in the past 2 weeks. When I do find someone I need help with some guitar pedals and cables. I'm making something with them, not using them for guitars. So when I tell them I need like these 2 cables and 1 pedal. Just my opinion, when they find out that all I need in value wise. Is around $50/$60 total. They kind of point to where something is and walk away. I tell them I need help as I have questions and again tell them no guitars involved. What I'm trying to do with them. They want to walk away as fast as they can. Or start helping someone else or answer a phone. Again, my opinion when the dollar value isn't there, since they work commissions, they don't want to help. Even after I find an item, in my hand. Go back to them to ask a question basically ignore me. I mean they really find it a struggle to help me and I have to be semi aggressive or talk louder or more boldly to get their attention. I hate going in that place so I've had to walk the store my self. Try and Learn where things are located. And try and learn what I need. So now I go in and when someone does ask if I need help I ignore them. Very sad that it's come to this. Just wait till I buy some big ticket item or items. 2 choicesm...either buy from another source or go in and makexl sure no one gets commission on my sale.

Because how do they know I may be their next big customer. Thanks for allowing a place to post.

The store is large and well-stocked with a comprehensive range of products. The staff provides excellent service, proactively greeting customers as they enter and asking if they need any assistance. They go out of their way to help customers find what they need.

The entrance of the store is somewhat small, so first-time visitors might miss it. However, it shouldn't be a problem.

There are plenty of parking lots available.

Highly recommended.

I had a horrible experience with this location, I scheduled my daughter's guitar lessons, and a week before the date I get a call with the sorry excuse that someone who had been going here 5 years decided to schedule the exact same date and time so we had to literally be removed and completely disregarded as if I did not sign and pay for the service, on an OPEN and AVAILABLE schedule. In addition, I was told that they were just trying to work with the other person's contract and for me to be more understanding, I asked what about my contract? I am definitely leaving with a sour taste about their ethic and practices. And I will definitely revisit every single word on my contract, because there are specific notes regarding how the schedule works if we took a break and decide to come back.

I realize this is a big box store, but some product training on pedals that are widely used (even if discontinued) would be nice. Was sold a used Line 6 DL4, was told my regular power 9v supply would work. Does not even fit the pedal, and when I called the store, I was told “there’s a lot of pedals man, we can’t know everything about them.” Was then told to look up the owners manual. Whoever I spoke to on the phone did tell me to look further into milliamps, but after having told the salesperson in store that I needed this pedal for tonight, it’s disappointing that not only can I not use this pedal tonight, but I now have to buy a secondary power supply. Not happy with this place, been coming here many years for most of my gear purchases but now will be shifting to reverb/sweetwater for my needs.
