Love the name 'The Room Exchange'! They really name it!
We got a referral from one of our good friends a few years ago when this store was in Lutz. Since then, we have dropped by time to time and looked around their furniture and decorating items. The Tampa location is even very close to our office and we can easily come by! Whenever we visit the store, they greet us but do not push us like asking for questions a customer may have every other minute. So, we normally enjoy to look around and quietly leave if we don't find a right fit to us.
We've recently moved our house and needed to "exchange" some of our furniture. We sold ours to The Room Exchange and purchased several furniture like dining table, tables and cabinets. The sales process was smooth and I was glad that all our old furniture was sold within a month. The pickup and delivery were smooth and the truck guys really cared each piece.

Especially my recent visit was very impressive. We purchased a corner cabinet two days ago. They had two same pieces but we purchased only one piece. When we brought it to our house, we realized one little wooden piece was missing on the side. Regardless of the missing piece, it was just perfect to our dining room and we decided to buy the other shelf as well. Next day, we came into the store and talked to Sue. (She helped us when purchased the first piece.) We explained her about the missing piece and asked if she can check if the piece was found somewhere in the store or inventory. It was nowhere, but then she was trying to find a solution. She talked to the owner. The owner came to us, explained us how to make it and then finally one of his staffs crafted a small piece just like the missing one perfectly. They are not only professional but serious to care their customers!

Really nice "gently-used" higher end furniture store. Best advice I can give is to check their inventory often as they are constantly getting great items in but they go fast. Pricing is fantastic as well. Ignore any negative comments below- this place cannot be beat.

I’m looking for a six drawer dresser that I’m going to use temporarily while the rest of my stuff is in storage. This place is close to my house so I decided to take a look because I’ve never been there. I walked in, they weren’t that busy only two other customers in the store and me and three employees, and no acknowledgment when I walked in. I walked around for about a little less than 10 minutes and still not a, “Can I help you find something?”, from any of the employees. I guess they have enough money that they don’t need mine. Their set up was a little confusing to me. Things are mostly set up as rooms so I had to wander around the store looking for a dresser. Most the dressers were ornate and all wood. That’s not what I’m looking for. Nice stuff, but I won’t go back because the employees apparently don’t care about helping customers.

I have purchased several pieces of furniture at this store and for the most part love it. Recently, I purchased this high top table with 8 chairs that just so happened to match my existing barstools. My daughter and I went to look at it and loved it although it was oil/greased up a lot. Didn’t think anything of it. Got it home, set it up, looked good - until the polish wore off. So disappointed in all the water marks and damage to the table. I realize that it is used furniture and sold “as is” but I feel deceived. Please make sure you really inspect the furniture before purchasing. The first two pictures are from the showroom.

Love this store!! They always have such beautiful pieces for a great price! I have purchased furniture, home decor and artwork for my home. Also, if you are looking to sell, the consignment process with them is so easy! They do it all then mail you a check- or even better you can spend it the store! THANK YOU ROOM EXCHANGE! HUGE selection of gently used/like new items. Pictures, lighting, and furniture fill the store but the knick knacks are also worth the trip! I found random fossil plates that date back to 200-500mya! Also picked up a Carroll Boye piece-reasonably priced. They accept items-typically a 30-60 day wait list due high volumes. Reasonably priced. Clean and prestine. Incredibly friendly and relaxed staff. Helpful 'Hercules' in the backroom, to assist with loading. All around, I've visited often and will continue to check them out. They have new inventory daily. They post on website every day/couple days new items. Lots to choose from.
