Over half the stuff in the store lacks a price tag and the prices seem to change depending on who you talk to. Other reviews have said they love to change prices on you, but I didn't believe it until I dealt with it myself!!
I was in the store for over 45 minutes, holding an item I was interested in as my partner tested music equipment. I asked a redhead employee in the music section the price of the item, an empty, small instrument bag, and he immediately shot back "$10" without hesitation.
I go to pay, and the cashier kid goes to "check with his manager" about the case, even though I told him who gave me the price. He comes back and says his manager made a "big mistake" and it's "actually worth like over $100". The cashier didn't even bring the case back for anyone to look at-- it was just a random price change while I already had my card out to pay for it. This item was certainly not worth that much, neither online or even brand new. I genuinely believe the employees did not know what product they were looking at. The cashier said he assumed I didn't want to buy it. I did, but due to terrible communication among everyone in the store the price changed at checkout without any notice and it just wasn't worth it anymore.
Usually Nickles is worth my two hour drive round trip, but this trip was genuinely frustrating and I won't be coming back for a while. Personally, if you are traveling far, I wouldn't recommend it as it's a hit or miss it seems. I hope Nickles can put more price tags on things, while not changing prices on customers on a whim.

A little bit of everything, however extremely overpriced. Walked out after seeing a beat-up foot scooter with a price tag of $500. Even the pocket knife collection was outrageously priced.

Drove 2 hours just to be told no on my item in the first minute of arriving. Even though I called beforehand and the guy on the phone said he would love to take a look at it. Could have been a miscommunication but they were very rude especially the older lady so I’m not coming back anytime soon. Not cool to make people waste gas in this economy

This place is terrible. Rude staff. My first time was my last time ever going. the sick baby review that was "fabricated" was 100% true. It was my baby, he had a reaction to strawberry yogurt & I Ran him out of the store so he wouldn't vomit in there. I was pretty freaked out. The women was incredibly rude when my husband went looking for a trash can. No compassion. Gave him attitude. Never will go back.

I'd be critical of any positive review of the place, its likely a friend or relative of the goons who work here.
