great experience here today! i was able to find MANY awesome items. the quantity of good quality items is awesome. prices are steep for some items & not others, but thats been a lot of thrift stores recently.

my grandfather worked here many years ago, it’s kind of a staple for my family every time we come down to Florida since his passing. please don’t ruin it!!

I went to the thrift store today to do a little shopping. I found a really cute halloween costume for my son. However, when I went to purchase it. The person ringing it up told me that I could not purchase it. Because the tag said it was from a different department. I was like, that's fine can it be repriced so that I can purchase it? The guy rudely told me that no, he was the manager in that I would have to come back tomorrow if I wanted to purchase it.. I informed him that it was not my fault that his people misprice an item. It should be sold at the price or repriced so that could be purchased on that day. He made me feel as if I was trying to steal or being dishonest. The only thing that made this interaction a little better. A very sweet employee named Angela came and found me to apologize for the manager's rudeness. Which made me feel a little better, The interaction itself, still has me a little pissed off.

I enjoyed this store, it is a nice goodwill alternative for sure. I thought they had a great selection and a clean store. I found a good priced good condition quality dresser and another piece. The staff was very helpful and loaded everything in the car. I am glad we stopped in and look forward to going back.

They change sale colors in the middle of the day while you’re shopping making it impossible to know what is currently on sale. Interesting. When I came in 3 weeks ago the colors were blue and yellow when I walked in. Blue and orange after coming out of the dressing room then red and green by the time I left. I won’t be shopping here again.

I’ve just had the worst thrift experience of my entire life at Sunshine Thrift. My one star review pertains specifically to my furniture purchasing experience and the store manager on duty Jose, as I have enjoyed shopping here many times previously and would have continued to recommend to others if it were not for Jose’s behavior.
I came to the store on a Saturday specifically to purchase and pick up an item I’d seen in the store earlier in the week, if it was still available. I’d already taken measurements of the item, my vehicle and its intended space in my home so I knew it would fit. Upon arriving I was super happy to see the item was still there, unsold. The store’s policy is that no furniture can be held without payment, meaning I had to wait in line and complete the furniture purchase before doing any other shopping to ensure no else bought it. After paying for the furniture, I decided against shopping more even though I’d planned to because I didn’t want to wait in line a second time. I drove to the rear of the store for help with loading my purchase where the store’s assistant promptly directed me to back up against a safety pole, scratching my car. A second loading assistant arrived and after several attempts they were not able to load the item into my vehicle successfully, causing damage to the item with each failed effort. I asked if there were any available delivery services nearby and was met with blank stares. So with damage to my car and to the item I purchased, I returned to the front of the store to request a refund. I witnessed store manager Jose displaying an extremely rude demeanor towards his staff, then he processed my refund with no apology or any accountability for my customer experience. He even insinuated that the damages to the item and to my car were my fault. Though the actions of the loading assistants were very disappointing, I can understand and forgive that they were not well equipped for the task though they had the best intentions. My poor quality interaction with the store manager is why I will no longer shop here or recommend to others.

I come here 3 times a week, Place is great. I recommend they treat employees better however. Ive been told by multiple that working here is not the greatest and the conditions are poor

Stopped in over the weekend , this is one of the most organized thrift stores I’ve ever seen. Not only was the manager Julio friendly and welcoming , my cashier was also a complete delight , if you are in the area i recommend stopping by and picking up a few things!

When shopping at night at this location , I have had terrible experiences with the employees who work here. 2 of the employees love to follow you around the store and use the F bomb when talking about the customers right in front of them. (Pro tip not all people have stuff playing on their headphones and can hear you) This one special employee also loves to pick up clothes off of the floor and throw them in your direction because they think you dropped the clothing, while also screaming at you and coming off very aggressive and intimidating. This employee and her employee friend won’t say anything directly to you but they will scream in your direction that they are talking about you. These 2 people should not be employed in a customer service job. I left this store crying and scared because someone working here acted so hateful and aggressive towards me, someone who is simply shopping here. Management was informed but, the sense of urgency wasn’t there. This level of verbal attack should be handled with more discipline. No one should be in this environment when they are shopping. I shouldn’t go thrift shopping and leave terrified from an encounter with an screaming cursing employee. Is this the type of people Sunshine Thrift employ? That’s terrifying.
