This store is way overpriced with allot of damaged goods at (or above normal new retail). I picked up a jug today that was full of mouse poop and a dead mouse. I told a worker and she told me to run it to the front of the store?. I said no and put it back( I didn't feel it was my job to do so). I saw a manager come and retrieve the item a few minutes later. It was a wide jug and was clearly visible as soon as you picked up. For a store charging as much for used items you would think they look at them for this type of obvious thing.

I saw Dollar Tree items for $4.99, $4, and $3.49. One item still had the $3.99 Tj Maxx tag and they wanted $5.99. Should not be labeled as a thrift store and strictly a second hand store since it is a for profit and benefits no charity.

I will not be returning afterr my experience today with the dead mouse, moldy and extra dirty broken overpriced items. There is a Marshalls/HomeGoods in the same plaza- go there for new items priced the same as this store.

It’s clean and well organized but overpriced. They don’t run color of the week tag sales like other thrift stores. There were a lot of families with children, I suppose that’s because of the large children’s section. I would skip everything but the books. They had a good book section. It’s all self checkout but they have multiple security guards that watch you like hawks. I think I caught the attention of one because I was taking photos for this review.

I would have given it five stars because I really like the clothes and other items that they sell, I have bought many beautiful dresses in this store. However, however I was in there today found a beautiful dress and wanted to go to the dressing rooms to try it on and they no longer have them. I was told they removed them because of all the theft that was going on. You can now return items however you get a store credit only. Not liking that.

2nd Ave Thrift has changed recently. It’s still a good thrift store but it used to be a great thrift store. The prices are higher than they were and there are less “sales” than before. Certain days used to have more sale “colors” but no more. Those days were the reason I went. The store is huge and there are a lot of items. The employees are helpful. The store is clean and organized. The only area that needs cleaning is the fitting room… what a mess. The attendant was rude and unprofessional. At times the lines get long and you may have to wait. The parking lot is convenient and large.

Love this place. They offer so many different things -- books, games, decor stuff, dishes, kitchen appliances, shoes and clothes -- and you can find real treasures here.

I don't like it though when the store is crowded (who likes it, huh?) and it's a disaster if you have a trolley with you that can't fit anywhere because of that...

Btw people working in the store are mostly nice and caring. Thanks for your work, guys! ❤️

Saw the store, thought I'd go in. Next thing I know, Hagrid appeared out of nowhere and started telling me I can't be "back here" because they are "closed now". The store didn't close for ten minutes and I was in plain sight near t-shirts in the middle of the store. He then followed me out as though I was going to steal a $3 used polo and make a break for it. Couldn't tell you what their inventory was like, but the staff has places to be so you better not spend any money. I would not recommend going in even if the purpose is to kill 5 minutes.

I visit this store once or twice a month, but yesterday made me consider whether I should come back to this location. My daughter and I shopped, she rang the items and I left the check lane to get another item to add to get to my 75 dollar transaction to receive 30% off that I had in my email. While I stepped away, an associate very rudely asked my daughter if she had scanned an item that she had already placed in our bag. My daughter showed her the item on the screen. My daughter later told me about it when we left the store and said the lady was incredibly rude and overly suspicious. My daughter was waiting for me to come back to the checklane, if she was trying to steal, wouldn’t you believe her to try to leave the checklanes and be out the door as soon as possible. It made no sense. I work in retail-the only times we use this behavior is if we see an item no being scanned on camera or if someone buys a container and we simply ask the customer politely to open it to ensure no items are inside. This was completely unexceptionable…I would love for someone to contact me regarding this situation.

UPDATE: weeks later and no follow up. No response. Cool.
