I love American Cancer Society thrift stores and out of every location I’ve been to across the state I’ve never actually experienced a rude volunteer. But there is a first time for everything. I found a shirt I loved and was trying to inquire if they had priced it accordingly because it had quite a few stains on it. I wasn’t necessarily going to ask for markdown, I just wanted to know if they had taken that into consideration, but she wouldn’t even acknowledge my question and just said that “it was designer.” I don’t give a fudge brownie if it’s designer I’m not going to spend $30 for a shirt with stains that might not come out. Actually, in all truthfulness I probably would have actually bought it if she hadn’t been so rude. I understand that you are in Beverly Hills, but please be kind to potential customers. I did end up buying another piece that was also dirty, but I feel like it was priced accordingly and I will chance $5 on something and hope it will clean up.

I don’t know what kind of energy other people have brought to this store, but I have never had anything but lovely interactions with everyone who works here. They always have a smile for me and plenty of treats for my dog, and they always seem happy to see everyone.

The items are often overpriced but you can find some real gems on sale, and for me that’s the fun! Always enjoy stopping by.

Very clean and today Thrift shop ! It’s a hit and Miss to find cool stuff/clothes.
Clothing is more for women 40’s and up or at least conservative style. Reasonably priced-when they have a sale. Once in a while there’s something to take back home. I only found this today for $5.
Parking : descent. Can find spots across the street.
PRO’s : Great other stores on this street : Nail places, juice crafters, toppings and other.
I now only stop when on the way to/from somewhere. Super friendly staff-typically retired lively ladies. Been coming here for 5-6 years. They used to have great cashemere scarves and sweaters. No more-like in most thrift shops the best are being sold online.

Terribly uninviting and exclusionary! If what you're potentially offering them isn't hypothetically good enough, they are vehemently dis-interested. But because they only accept very high-ticket items it means everything in the store is very expensive which in turn means they get very little foot-traffic & very few return customers, thus cannot actually do a lot of good. It's extremely counterproductive, which is extremely unfortunate. I really detested the "ethos" of the woman who works here, and the funny thing is that after putting up a very cold and elitist front at first, she obviously started to smell money and totally changed her tune but by that point it was too late. I recently lost to brain cancer the one soul I have loved more than any other, ever, and I am only now coming to terms with being able to acknowledge that I can move forward with my own life without bitterness and rage at how unfair and unjust the universe is. Well, I guess interactions with distasteful persons such as the representative of this facility are a good distraction and a good start. This place should be run by a kind and humble and passionate person!

I had a very good experience here, the prints are very unique and pretty. The cashier at the front had a very positive sweet attitude.

Overpriced for a thrift store and store clerk who can't keep her rude remarks to herself.

Went in with high hopes, especially since it's a non-profit organization and came out disappointed. My mother and I clearly look Latinas and are Hispanic, however, my mother can read and speak English with an accent but fully understandable. We noticed that some shoes were for sale and since the sale dropped the price of the shoes very low, she decided to ask to clear up any confusion. Unexpectedly, the store clerk instead of being anywhere near helpful she rudely told my mother "Can you read?" in a very disrespectful tone. Then going to help other customers (White).

* She was an white-older looking lady, probably around her mid 70s with black short hair. *

I was flabbergasted by that microaggresion experience and her repulsive attitude towards my mother. Just because we are Latinas does not mean we do not understand English, We decided to leave the store and before we did, I spoke to the manager who apparently also saw the entire conversation but did not interfere or apologize to my mother untill I confronted her about it. She then asked me to write down my phone number and name but nothing has resulted from that.

If that woman was unhappy with her job, there are other options, such as keeping her mouth shut and not speaking on impulse.

Hope management finds a better clerk or retrains current one.

This is hands down my favorite thrift store not only because I fully support recycling and reusing to take pressure off of the environment caused by the production of new items but they always have treasures, the store is very clean and the women that work there are so wonderful, lovely and helpful. They make your shopping experience fun. They even have sale days if you can believe that - got 50% off on most of the items I bought. My daughter loves shopping here as well - something for everyone. I highly recommend this thrift store.

I went to the shop today, Tuesday the 9th, with my father who is almost 90 years old and has a physical disability that limits his ability to stand up for long periods of time.

I was interested in a limed oak, upholstered chair that would have matched one of my restoration hardware dining tables. My father, however, needed to sit down, so I politely asked the clerk at the register If my father could sit. She said she couldn’t help me at the moment as she had a customer and then made a joke to the customer about me asking to have my father sit down somewhere along the lines of, “Can you believe the nerve of that lady?”, and she and the customer had a good laugh.

We left the store and my father promptly fell down in the street. I’m not saying it’s the sales clerk’s fault, but I would like her to know that her “amusement” resulted in my father bruising his hip.
