You can find some nice pieces in the store, but the overall experience is unpleasant. The staff are rude and snobby, showing no effort to welcome customers.

I dont know if they had too many boosters of the vaccine, but the woman who work here, extremely hostile and extremely rude. they allegedly gave stuff to charity but it was a lie. dishoest and refuse to give customers receipts, very very shady business.

If only I had read the reviews before visiting this shop! I left shaken and appalled at my experience during which I was personally insulted. Behaviour superior, accusatory, downright rude, defensive and devoid of warmth or pleasantries of any kind - below zero customer service. I have never experienced anything as shocking in a retail setting before. I later laughed about her repellant attiitude to clothes from "The High Street" given what she was wearing! Two things I did realise - this person would never have spoken to my daughter in this manner (clearly I am of the wrong demographic) AND I suspect she does not give a jot about reviews as she feels above them all. If this is an example of how not to a run a business then I don't know what is.

Today, I had a concerning experience at this store. I was browsing for a gift for my sister when I stumbled upon a Boucheron ring identical to hers, typically priced at over 6000 GBP. Surprisingly, it was listed at just 952 GBP, which seemed implausible considering those were selling for over 5k on Vestiere Collective second hand, they very much hold their value. When I inquired about the low price, the response was rather defensive. I was told they price items based on factors like age and whether they come with original packaging.

Coincidentally, my sister and I were enjoying coffee nearby on New Kings Road, so I suggested we visit the store again to compare the ring to hers. Upon inspection, it became evident that the ring they were selling was a counterfeit, and a poorly made one at that. Despite my friendly approach, when I suggested they contact the seller, the woman, who claimed ownership of the business, became dismissive and borderline hostile, citing her busy Saturday schedule. There was only one other customer in the store at that time.

It was clear she had no intention of verifying the authenticity of the ring. This experience left me questioning the integrity of the store's other items. I won't be returning there. And my advice to others - it is essential to scrutinize items against originals whenever possible when it comes to this store.

The rudest possible staff ever. The older lady processed to continue cleaning before letting my mother and I in and the other sales assistant was sat at the back of the store eating her lunch. The clothes are hideously overpriced and mostly very worn. I tried on a couple of jumpers and a coat. The coat was very worn and when I inquired about a price reduction I was rudely told these items are fixed prices on behalf of clients. I left the knitwear neatly in the fitting room and when returning upstairs the lady rudely told me off for leaving the item down there despite her job being an assistant, not mine…this isn’t my first bad experience with Deuxieme. All the staff are rude and snobby- I never understand why when they’re the shop assistants. I won’t be returning and urge others to steer clear as well. There are plenty of better vintage style shops with more welcoming and polite staff.

nice clothes and quite reasonable prices, however, the issue is the staff. The last few times I have gone in there they don't say hello or goodbye - have noticed them taking an attitude with other customers in the store. Also last two or three times i have visited, the dog in the store (not sure if it's the owners or they just look after it?) has been in there causing quite a fuss. Very bazar to bring your dog to work then have it jump up on customers/ run around the shop. Saw it nibble/bite on other customers shoe/foot making her quite uncomfortable and the staff seemed not to really care or apologies. overall good cloths good at turning over from season to season - however the service there often makes me and others i have talked to in the area not want to visit or use their consignment services.

A fantastic little store at a great location, the ladies who work there are so lovely and just super friendly. I have already managed to sell an unwanted designer item at a great price. More underway. Thanks a lot!

Update: Went yesterday 11/02 to pick up an item that hadn’t sold. The lady with the Irish accent wasn’t too impressed (probably having a bad day or due to my rather simple attire unlike that of the pedestrians frequenting the area ?) and said the bare minimum. Appears that the staff are a bit ‘hit and miss’ - thus rating revised!

(11/08/2022) Just came in to do shopping and was told “well done, you can read” when I inquired about the signs on the door. Possibly the rudest thing I have ever heard come out from personnel’s mouth in my lifetime in the first 5 seconds of our interaction. To the owner - please vet the people you are hiring. Never coming to this store again.
