Paid a visit to this shop yesterday and absolutely adored the groovy vibes! As someone who also owns a vintage store, it was truly amazing to witness the dedication to all things vintage that this shop radiates. You definitely need to come by and see it for yourself!

In general, this is a very cool store with some very cool pieces. 2/3 of us left with clothes but left feeling cornered and ripped off. As avid supporters of small businesses, it left a bad taste in our mouths. First of all, there is no pricing on any of the items and it seems like the pricing is just whatever the employee feels like they want it to be. It’s $5 off an item if you pay cash. I was interested in 3 items, each very unique and good quality. I’m someone who has a hard time finding clothes that fit me right so that is why I ultimately decided to purchase them despite the high prices. Since I wanted to buy 3 items, I asked if the employee could offer some sort of small discount - she said yes. Then I realized, the “discount” she gave me wasn’t a discount bc I paid cash anyways. At that point the vibe was pretty uncomfortable so I paid and left.
My friend also was told a price and then it got switched last minute. Again, it was such a unique piece that she decided to pay, but ouch, how disappointing.

Update: when I got home, I realized one of my jackets had a tear in it.

Soooo many of my most beloved items of clothing have been sourced from here. Not to mention the immaculate vibe every-time I come in. Sometimes there’s live music in lounge upstairs.
I tell everyone who’s visiting Boulder to go to Heady Bauer.

By far my favorite store to go to in Boulder!! This place is so much more than a vintage thrift shop. I was born and raised here and Heady Bauer holds down the vibes for this town in a beautiful way. Whether you’re looking for a unique piece of expressive vintage clothing, fun & interesting people, or a groovy uplifting boost to your day, it’s got the magic Boulder needs.

After strolling in for no reason other than to get to know Boulder, I spotted a few musicians hamming together upstairs. They stopped briefly to invite anyone who was interested to pick up an instrument and jam with them. I happened to have my flutes on me, so we played together. Total random pleasure! Love the vibe of this spot. Super friendly owner and I assume his friends.

Such a rad and unique vintage shop! Best one I’ve been to in a minute. Great staff and an amazing music corner. Pinner and his team were welcoming and their style is unmatched. Wish I could live right above the store so I can hang with them anytime.
