Smelled like aftershave, everything was really run down, perhaps worst of all was the blaring television featuring Fox News so that you could barely hear yourself talk to each other. I'm all for freedom of expression but prefer not to have it shoved down my throat.

Call first and be specific. Told yes twice about bringing furniture, but after getting turned away cold in Boone due to lack of space, we got specific with what we were bringing and were told they didn't have the staff, whatever that means.

I used to really enjoy coming here but the prices on things have gone WAY up and honestly the last few times I've came here I've left empty handed because I just can't afford it. Bobby and the people working here are great folks I'll miss seeing them.

I love this little gem of a thrift store! The workers have always been polite
The Mountain City location is SO much friendlier and nicer than their counterpart in Boone.
The workers in Boone need to take a page from the way the Mountain City staff treats customers...like people instead of a burden.

The items are severely pick through in the Boone store before they are sent to Mountain City. You definitely get the feeling that these are the low end thrift store items.
Customer service is severely lacking if you could call it service at all
