I always find something I want or neat discoveries such as my cute little copper coffee pot: turns out it is 1940s Swiss made! My recent score was this 1930s Chippendale mahogany dining room table and chairs, it's 9 feet long and 4 feet wide and it's all very sturdy. Love it!

Prices at retail or above on many items! The prices of baseball hats has come back down to a reasonable price, however the shoe prices are insane! Shoes that were $4 a couple of years ago are now close to $20.

I used to like the store, but the prices are getting so high it is cheaper for me to buy from Walmart and the Dollar Tree. The prices are more reasonable lately but it is still hard work to find any deals. I'm not paying $10 for a used, dirty, Pampered Chef cake pan! Anything that has a name brand is really expensive.

PLEASE stop marking the price on items with a permanent marker! Please! I really don't want my neighbors and friends to see what I paid for my lamp at the thrift store because I'm too poor to pay retail. There isn't a cleaner in my house that will get your marker pen prices off.

The bathrooms are always clean and taken care of with soap, water and paper towels. It is nice that the bathrooms and fitting rooms are always presentable.

The staff is mostly nice. Although one woman will jack the price on something if it's not marked and she seems to really not like the people shopping there. She's passive aggressive and it sucks because they get their inventory for free, but charge retail for it.

This formerly valuable store is now mostly useless to me. If I go there it will only be to look through the items they have on the deal that day.

Update: The new manager is using predatory selling practices. There were large signs out front that stated "Thursday - All Clothes 1/2 Price". After I spent quite a while looking through clothes, and trying clothes on, I went to check out to be told it was NOT ALL clothes and I needed to check the fine print notice on the board. It was some of the clothes and the fine print notices are on a little board just inside the right door... I came in the left door and did not see, or even think, there would be exclusions because the sign said "All Clothes". The cashier couldn't even explain clearly what was excluded. She rambled off a long list which sounded like MOST clothes were NOT on sale. I did not buy the clothes I had picked out because they were marked $10 and $8 dollars.

Buyer beware! Don't trust their advertised special, ask questions.

UPDATE: I don't need to call you to get a defensive attitude because I get that every time I'm in your store. Your store needs to act like the charitable institution it proclaims itself to be! Take Care Center out of your name and you'll be doing better! Act like a thrift store and stop with the secret codes on the price tags, and the false advertising ... "except for" signs. Treat people the way they want to be treated. Don't put some angry woman in charge that hates poor people!

Been going here for years now but hardly visiting anymore. They were the best place around moving lots of items fast at a reasonable price. Now, it's a retail store. They marked up everything to a few bucks less than new. Better deals on eBay and Amazon for the same items and you see lots of items setting on a shelf for weeks $15+ for a $4 item. Dishes, furniture , painting ect I could go on and into great details as I once shopped here 3 days a week. I believe they have lost their way. For donations, they are charging way 2 much and will be the next thrift store to close like the others did down the road near habitat. We all seen the prices, they didn't listen to the customers and reviews.. Get back to moving bulk product guys, stop inflating your prices and move more inventory or sit on items at high prices and continue to loose business. Don't let the people pricing items without knowledge of what they are actually selling for used screw your business. People use going lense and eBay and can in seconds, find out what they are not saving by buying your stuff. I loved this place and it's been the best thing in the Dundee area so I'm not trying to be malicious. I understand you use the money to give back to the community and that's commendable however you should realize that same community of needy people look to you for essential items as well. You need to find a better balance price wise.

Been visiting this place for a few years every time I am in the area. While there are some good finds, I have also noticed that the prices have increased. I know prices have increased for everything else, so why not here? Almost all of the pricing I saw was much higher than what I have seen there before. With that said the price will make you think twice. Like I said there are some good finds. I bet if you speak with the front desk you might get it even cheaper. The folks there are super nice. I will still stop in and maybe find something at a good deal.

I love the store, great items and prices but my score is for the young man with the brown hair at the front desk/cashier today. So rude and nasty for no reason! Was going to pick up furniture I purchased earlier in the day and ended up rescheduling to another day bc he was just so rude, kept cutting me off and completely ignored me at the end. I never had an issue here until now and I’ve purchased and donated SOOOO much stuff here. I wish I got his name but I was so taken off guard

The Care Store is a Christian Driven Facility that is very well managed from the front of the store all the way back to the donation center. This Care Store supports our local Community and has a wonderful FellowShip. We are very satisfied with the pricing and Alex in the Donation Center is a Very KInd and Godly Man. Please Pray for their Sucess and the Work they Provide for Our Brothers and Sisters in Christ.

It is sad , When I 1st started going to this place the prices were amazing. There were good deals on all the stuff and now they are buying stuff from stores for dirt cheap and sell it for double the price if not quadruple. The price the price that you can buy it at a regular store. I've seen where they bought stuff from walmart for a dollar and market up 2 to 6 dollars. Beds in there they're selling at full price or if not higher than what you can get it at Other furniture stores.. A lot of this stuff is donated to them for free and they're out here trying to rip people off. It's supposed to be like a christian type place but no christian retreat people that way. As far as i'm concerned this place is not worth going to anymore.
