Don't waste your time trying to sell them nice or new items. My mother and I took one bag of clothing and one box of shoes and handbags to sell. We had more, but were told that we were only allowed one bag per visit. We brought the clothing in on hangers (it would have made it easier for them to look through them). We removed everything from the hangers and put them in a large bag.

Less than 10 minutes later my mother received a text message informing her that none of her items were except and I received a message to pick mine up. After we arrived they told my mom that they were being very selective about what they take and then gave her a coupon to purchase the junk that they were selling. They only bought one pair of pants from me for $4. The majority of our items were brand new and had tags still attached. The other items were barely worn. Had they actually opened the bag they would have known that, but the bag was still tied. They literally just grabbed one thing out through the hole. This is the 2nd time I have had this type of experience with Plato's. The employees seem lazy and are selective about who they take items from rather than what is actually being brought in.

I'm sure that your customers would appreciate the opportunity to purchase nice or new items instead of the heavily used and faded junk that you are trying to sell. Now I understand why I've seen nicer items at Karm and Goodwill when donating than at Plato's.

This store is so underrated, they keep their clothing under higher standards than most thrift stores, so they have a good selection of clothes. The size variety is great and they have something for everyone. The employees are all very nice and respectful, and seem like hardworking individuals. 100% would recommend!

I’m sorry but this is by far the worst Plato’s I’ve ever been too, no better than goodwill and they never take clothes due to “out of style or hard to sell” but continue to sell things with stains and holes in them or just down right awful looking, also I’ve noticed they prefer to take things from Walmart before they take things from high end stores they also have a horrible size selection which i understand it’s sometimes hard to keep larger sizes in stock but when their are two full isles of small sweaters and just barely a spot for the large section I don’t understand why you don’t buy my items just for people to have something to choose from. Im disappointed every time I leave this store.

Do not waste your time or energy on this establishment.
I drive 45 mins to get there, my daughter and I have 3 bags of clothing. We wait forever to hear back from them and didn’t. So I finally ask and was told our items needed to be washed then they’d look at them again, they were all washed and folded.

So I go on and buy 65$ worth of stuff to get home and have the zipper broken. I call and they tell me that the blue stamp is a clearance item and not able for return, I asked why I wasn’t notified of this, asked if there is signage anywhere in the store stating this, to which they said there is not.

So please listen to the reviews. I didn’t. I saw them and figured I would try. The reviews are not lying.

I’ve frequently shopped Plato’s closet across the country and really like the company but this location could use some work. The parking lot is unappealing to guests. I approached the counter to sell and the girl that clearly hates her job, should probably be released from that burden. She was nasty to multiple people after me as well. Based on reading reviews prior to making the trip to the store, I was disappointed that the first encounter I had in the door was as as negative as others warned. The clothing selection itself was good and the store was clean but her negative attitude was toxic. Corporate if you’re reading this, your Management team needs to be seriously evaluated if the staff has such a bad reputation. As an important side note when I returned to pick up a couple items that didn’t sell (they paid very fair for my quality of items) Angie was INCREDIBLE! She made my experience better. I asked to get her name because her customer service was exceptional and made me consider continuing to partner with Plato’s.

Scorpion Queen

This is one of the worst locations ever and I don’t know why I try to come back. I brought in over 50 items all folded and washed in a laundry basket; some new and some used, understandably passed on some but I brought in a brand new Kate Spade tote purse that has barely been used and she said they passed due to “stains” which was dried water on the back which could’ve been easily wiped off.

I brought multiple brand new items everything from hoodies to shoes to this location and when they gave me my bag back, they gave me seven dollars and said that everything was from Shein. I personally do not shop from Shein because I believe in buying and reselling clothes. and when I open my bag, a bunch of my items had been damaged so I couldn’t even resell them.

I usually don’t like going into Plato’s closets as often the clothes aren’t very nice and very expensive. But this Platos Closet has a vast selection of clothing for very fair prices, I would strongly recommend
