Super expensive for second hand clothes. Used to be an awesome place where you could get clothes ranging from $3-12 being the normal and the expensive side being around $25 etc. now the new normal low is $15 and averaging between
$25 - 40+. Prices are through the roof for second hand items. Might as well buy new for the price you’re paying. Plus then it won’t have holes and stains on them. Really disappointing.

I'm not sure if Save Mart sells items used by the royal family, like Princess Diana or Elvis Presley. The prices are similar to those you'd expect for such items. Who would want to buy a Barker shirt for $29 when I can get it for $50 at the Tawa outlet? HB shirts are on sale for less than $30, but at Save Mart, they're $29. And used towels for over $20? It's ridiculous. They don't seem to have any common sense.

when I was waiting with my friends to try stuff on one of the old lady’s that work there said “those girls aren’t even gonna buy anything” and said that she was gonna check the cameras insinuating that we were gonna steal (she had already checked exactly how much clothes we were trying on) AND you can literally see through the changing rooms it’s two little red doors with a huge gap in the middle that anyone can peek through… disgusting

This place is a complete rip off. You can buy some items cheaper brand new during sales than these prices. Adidas track pants for $39.99. Warehouse and Kmart brands for $10.99+. Old, musty leather and fur coats for $169.99. Donated business uniforms such as F45 and Air NZ priced at $26.99. First and last visit.

Good range of items but extremely overpriced for second hand clothing, anything that has a somewhat recognisable label is priced through the roof. A lot of the items are cheaper to buy brand new. Very disappointing considering the items are donated.

Most prices are above what you would pay new in store. Great range but can't really see the point with that price tag

Love the Upper Hutt Savemart. Great pieces - though branded and designer wear are going up in price. Otherwise usually come out with something ‍

We found multiple second hand items that were the same price as new items, despite these items being worn and stained. We also got told off for trying on a jacket for size in the aisle. After the lady explained why I understood, but she wasn’t very nice about it and was quite condescending. Overall not a nice experience anymore. It used to be good but I wouldn’t recommend it anymore.
