You should be careful what you ask for, SEC. I was going to let this go but you asked for and want a review...ok. SEC did not evaluate our kitchen floor accurately after a leak messed up our floor. They said it could be sanded and refinished. The crew, not the owner, (which was the only positive aspect of this, as they were respectful and polite), came and set up and started to sand. About 1 hour in, the guy informs me that this floor cannot be sanded as it is an engineered flooring which does not have the depth to properly sand. This should have been determined upon initial inspection and quoting the project. We were left with areas slightly sanded and non repairable or able to be refinished. I was told the owner would contact me with a cost to rip up existing floor and replace with what we might like...at a cost 4x the amount quoted to refinish. I said I would consult our insurance Co. I notified SEC back but they never responded to me. We were left with a kitchen floor 1/4 sanded and ruined. Went to a local flooring place, picked out hardwood and installed for 1/2 the cost of the SEC quote....after they completely botched the job and left us hanging. So NO, I would not recommend this company at all.
