I’m still in shock at the terrible customer service and disrespect I received here.

I was over a half hour away from their store and called about the book prices. They were good prices so I thought it would be worth the drive to check out even though I would be getting there about 30 min before closing.

I arrive at 3:35 and walk in and can’t find the books. There’s a down stairs and I started to walk downstairs and a lady said rudely “the downstairs is closed.” I said I was looking for the books. She said “they are down here but the downstairs is closed.” I told her I just called about 35 minutes ago about books and just drove over 30 minutes to get here. She said “well then I’m sure they told you when we close.” So I said yes, 4pm. It’s 3:35.” She said “well the downstairs is closed. You can back tomorrow though.” She sounds proud and happy to not allow me down stairs. Terrible way to run a business.

I went out on my way to come to their business and was treated incredibly poorly. IF they’re going to close the book section early why not tell me that on the phone before I drive all the way out there? Or why after I explain I just drove 30 minutes because of someone on their phone telling me they’re open till four to allow me to look at the books?

I felt disrespected and mis-treated.

I always find interesting stuff here and the prices are very decent. Dishes for $0.10, books for $0.50 and clothes are very affordable too.

The shop is in an older building in the center of town and that is part of its charm. Clothes, shoes and bedding are on street level floor and everything else is downstairs. The people who work here are very personable and friendly as well.

Great little thrift store. Lots of clothes and nothing gross and stinky like the goodwill. Also a nice variety of shoes and home goods. They have some days with fill a bag for cheap. Worth the trip.

Dear elderly lady in 2nd edition Smith County thrift store when I asked you to do you to use the restroom you told me that you didn't have a public restroom clearly seeing that I am pregnant and barely holding it in and the only reason I asked to use the restroom in your store is because I Was preparing to shop after I completed my business thanks a lot. This s*** seriously annoys me.

Dont go here anytime near closing. You will be told to leave, told things arent for sale even when they have a price sticker. Very rude staff shoving people out the door. Guess they dont want money.
